Between snow-covered peaks, stunning panoramic views and perfectly groomed slopes, the magic of the Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm-Leogang-Fieberbrunn unfolds.
With more than 270 kilometres of slopes, 70 modern lifts and countless cosy mountain huts, the area is one of Austria’s most diverse winter destinations – a place where winter shows its full charm.
Slope variety for every level
Whether you're stepping on skis for the first time or have been carving down mountains for years, Saalbach-Hinterglemm offers the perfect run for every ability:
For beginners:The wide practice slopes around Hinterglemm are ideal for mastering your first turns with confidence. Gentle gradients and experienced instructors ensure a relaxed start to your ski day.
For cruisers:The red slopes around the Spieleck 6-seater and the Hochalmbahn are perfect for refining your technique while soaking in the views. Highly recommended: the descents in Zone C – with their long curves, sunny sections and the best flow in the entire resort.
For experts:If you're after a challenge, take the black 12er Nord downhill or the route toward Fieberbrunn. Expect steep sections, fast passages and spectacular views.
Tip:Plan your ski route so you reach the Walleggalm around lunchtime – located right on pistes 50–53, it’s the perfect stop for anyone who loves good food and a bit of alpine atmosphere.

Mountain flavours with a view – the Walleggalm
After a few hours in the snow, many skiers are drawn to the Walleggalm, one of the most iconic and beautiful huts in the entire resort. At 1,500 metres, it blends traditional alpine hut culture with a modern twist – rustic and cosy, yet stylish and lively.
Here, winter tastes like real indulgence: homemade Kaiserschmarrn, the legendary Walleggalm pizza or a tender Tomahawk steak from regional beef – all freshly prepared, with local ingredients and service that truly stands out.
From the large sun terrace, you overlook the snowy Glemmtal while music flows in the background and the scent of alpine food fills the air. It’s a place where time seems to pause – where the moment is all that matters.

Après-ski with cult status
If you love après-ski, you won’t want to leave. From 1 PM, the Walleggalm turns into what many call the highlight of the day: DJ Toni brings the energy to the sun terrace, joined by well-known artists like Mental Theo, Isi Glück and Micaela Schäfer.
With sunshine, music and a cold drink in hand, that unmistakable Walleggalm feeling comes alive – a mix of freedom, rhythm and pure joy that you only experience up here. Whether you’re celebrating with friends, meeting new people or simply dancing, everything feels a little lighter on the Walleggalm.
Groups especially get their money’s worth: a guys’ trip with skiing, steak and beats; a lively girls’ getaway with prosecco on the terrace; or an unforgettable bachelor or bachelorette party right in the middle of the Skicircus – the Walleggalm is the perfect place to celebrate life.
With a cool drink, the sun on your face and beats in the background, every moment becomes an experience. And when dusk settles over the peaks, you realise: up here, you didn’t just party – you created memories.

Arrival & service
The Walleggalm sits right in the middle of the ski area and is accessible via pistes 50–53. Non-skiers can reach it just as easily: the Walleggalm Mountain Bus runs several times a day from Saalbach Schattberg directly to the Alm and takes you safely back down to the valley in the evening.
Tip for food lovers:Through the online reservation system, you can secure your table in advance, pre-order food or plan your entire hut experience – including shuttle service and digital ticket.
Conclusion
A ski holiday in Austria is rarely as varied as it is here. Saalbach-Hinterglemm stands for sporty action, great food and legendary vibes – all in one place.
Whether on the slopes, on the Walleggalm terrace or during the final song of the afternoon, this is where memories are made.
